01The problem
Airspace is the product. You have to turn cubic yards into years of life, and the yearly survey is slow. Capacity can vanish fast: Butte County lost almost two years of airspace to Camp Fire debris, while Miramar added 45% capacity with a compaction change.

03How close the tool gets
On the test site, airspace used came within 0.08% of the known answer and remaining airspace within 0.05%. Vertical accuracy was NVA95 3.3 cm on 12 checkpoints, which is below the ASPRS recommended count, so treat it as indicative.
